Commercial artists use a variety of computer software and design skills to create art that meets a visual needs. Commercial artists are responsible for the layout and design of magazines, newspapers, journals and other publications. Commercial artists enjoy creating graphics for television, social, digital and other computer-generated media.
Commercial artist’s work as in-house designers, staff designers, or freelance designers. Career opportunities in the record industry, film and animation studios, computer software companies, and web design companies exist.

This entire program is 1500 hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program. Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College. Students can earn a certificate at the completion of the following Occupational Completion Points (OCPs):

Students in the Commercial Art Technology program will learn to produce promotional and informational material for print, specialty and web media from concept to completion. Commercial Art Technology is available at the following school (s):
